omniidl-python software package provides omniidl backend to compile Python stubs from IDL files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install omniidl-python
omniidl-python is installed in your system.
Make ensure the omniidl-python package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep omniidl-python *
You will get with omniidl-python package name, version, architecture and description in a table
